I’m pleased to announce that I’m taking part in the Summer Suite show at the Palette & Chisel again. It’s an annual art exhibit celebrating the start of the summer season — one of Chicago’s best!

Drawings and paintings will be on display in the P&C’s historic galleries showcasing the works of Samuel Dammers, Lenin Delsol (myself), Mary Klug, Mary Palmer, Michele Soncini, and Bodo Stolczenberger.

The show kicks off with an opening reception on Friday, June 7, 2019. Stop by to enjoy the show with a refreshment or two. Be sure to stick around for a special dance performance held in the intimate setting of the main gallery performed by the Laboratory Dancers at 8 p.m.

All Levels Welcome
Details:
In this workshop, we will paint a single painting over the duration of the class. There will be a strong emphasis on drawing and the understanding of the human anatomy. Any medium will be welcome in this class, whether the student wishes to continue in the medium they currently use, or to explore a medium they’ve been interested in for a while, but had never really pursued in any real sense. Continuing with a painting is important as a tool of study enabling the student to see more and in turn paint more of what they see. With our emphasis on artistic anatomy, the way the figure is in any position will be better understood. The first part of the workshop day will be spent in practices intended to bolster confidence in drawing and the use of the respective media the student wishes to use, followed by the main event, the continuing pose
Required Supplies: A list will be emailed to you upon registration. If you would like to see the supply list before registering, please email the P&C office.
